
Sky News Arabia’s Lubna Bouza receives ‘Achievements in Media’ award at the Arab Women Awards 2024

Sky News Arabia, an IMI company, has announced that Lubna Bouza, Head of Business News and presenter of ‘Business with Lubna’, has received the prestigious ‘Achievements in Media’ award at the Arab Women Awards 2024. An annual awards ceremony by Arabian Business as part of ITP group, the 15th edition of the Arab Women Awards took place last night at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam in Dubai.
Attended by prominent journalists, presenters, and media industry leaders, the event celebrated the region’s many inspiring Arab women who are excelling in their fields and making a positive impact on society.
Bouza – who was selected for the award out of 650 entries – is one of the leading Arabic-speaking anchors in the business world. With a distinguished career, she has established herself as one of the region’s most prominent business journalists, known for her well-informed, yet accessible, insights regional and international business, economics, energy, and finance. An integral part of the Sky News Arabia team since 2016, Bouza has tackled complex issues in a straightforward and conversational format, aiming to empower audiences of all demographics to engage with the world of business.
Launched in May of this year, the success that ‘Business with Lubna’ has achieved in just five months is a reflection of Bouza’s unique set of skills. With its hybrid format achieving a strong following across TV and social media, statistics prove that Bouza’s approach transcends generations and geographic locations.

Bouza holds more than 12 years of experience in the media industry, including eight at Sky News Arabia, a role she moved into from CNBC Arabia. Holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Economics and a Master’s in Applied Finance and Banking degree from the University of Wollongong, she has been recognised with various awards and accolades. Along with her latest win at the Arab Women Awards 2024, she was named one of the top business editors in Arab media by Arab News and was presented with the silver award in the “Female Thought Leader of the Year - Business Services” category at the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business.
